I haven't been that disappointed about a defunct sequel since the ending of 1980's Flash Gordon when it read "THE END" and then a huge question mark appeared as Max Von Sydow's "Ming" character laughed hysterically in a Vincent Price-esque timbre!!!! Talk about anticipation!!!
I waited YEARS for that and finally gave up!

And for the record, I am a high grade narcissist and proud of it!
