Need a nut replacement...any recommendation ?

Common problem with A string on jazz basses, really not the nut, just not enough downward pressure because of little angle of string over nut....make sure theres at least 3-4 windings on the tuner post going DOWN to try to increase the angle of the string and the downward pressure it creates against the nut...
