In the 1970's he was playing at Bunratty's doing a cover of "Gloria" as in G-L-O-R-I-A. i thought how strange a tune to be throwing out there. He then did about a 10 min solo over the riff that to this day was one of the best pieces of guitar noodling I have ever heard by anyone, amateur or pro. He is the real deal!
