Neither seems to have a take on the economic bailout. As a registered independant,I'd rather vote for the candidate that is going to help the working class than through my vote away.I don't like the idea that giving tax breaks to huge business is going to help out the middle class. They have been making record profits and still lay people off or sell off jobs overseas. Now the philosophy of throwing a pile of money at the people at the top is going to help out everyone at the bottom is the same bs failed policy that hasn't worked. And,they want public money to fix this debaucle? We are getting screwed with our own money(nothing new right?).

Yes, I do. As much as any other Presidential election anyway.

And there's always the Supreme Court nominee situation.

More and more, the Judicial has assumed power away from the other two thirds of our checks and balances, so being able to appoint judges, at any level, is very important and can make the biggest difference.

As for politics on LowellRocks, it's about hitting critical mass and will slow down considerable real soon, I'm sure.

Also, in this time of multiple political threads that bug people, it might be a good time to remind everyone to simply not click on the "All" category, and it'll be easier to avoid them.

(that's what I do when I just don't want to risk being sucked into one ;-)

I'm so sick of it all!

Has this not been the LONGEST election ever?

And there IS no escape.

Can't flick between channels on TV, Can't listen to the radio, can't go online, without the constant bickering.

Over and over...they say the same old shit, growing uglier each day.

In Massachusetts, there is no hope. It's Obama nation.
I went out for a nice dinner with a bunch of friends. There were 13 of us. Everything was great. Then they started talking politics, and the next thing you know, the whole vibe fell into a negative stink-hole. 10 moonbats, 3 conservatives. I was completely outnumbered. Then I realized that this ratio is probably representative of the entire state. Depressing.

I'm no Wing-nut, just a conservative.
I lean to the right, but I'm by no means an extremist.
Moonbats, to me are extremely left wing ideologues.

They parrot their catch phrases and talking points, but they're often hypocritical and dishonest.
They for illegal immigrants but they send their own kids to private schools.
Some of them believe that the twin towers were an act of demolition, not terrorism.
They think that if we're nicer to other countries, and people like us better, we won't be attacked again.
They don't mind pressing 2 to hear it in English.
They worry about the patriot act, but they're just fine with hacking into Sarah Palin's emails.
Some of them want a black president because it makes them feel better.
Even if he's not qualified... it will just be so cool and modern for us!
Most moonbats are socialists at heart, who are stuck in a 60's era protester's view of the world.
they often depict conservatives as fascists, and KKK members.
They love the word "Imperialism."
They often degrade their own country.
I guess I'm just the opposite of all of the above.
If that makes me a "Wing-Nut," then I'll wear that titale as a badge of honor.

Yes. I think there will be a big difference.

I don't think things could possibly remain as they are right now.

But I could be dead wrong.
I once believed that George Bush was going to do a great job.

It's not easy to admit it, but I was dead wrong.

Now I see that either of these guys might do a better job, but I can also see that things can get worse too.

I know Obama will take Massachusetts.
Nothing I can do about it.

I think he'd be a terrible president, but I've been wrong before.

I hope I'm wrong again.
