I travel in real Rum Snob circles lately, but I was just defending Captain Morgan the other day. Even though it's lower grade mass market rum, I think it has a unique and expensive flavor.
The snobs tend to lean toward Sailor Jerry for spiced rum, and I like that too, but Captain is still great in my book.

I know they had a 90 proof out, but I haven't seen the hundred. Crickey, that must have a kick!

I just won a bottle of peanut flavored rum cream in a raffle over the weekend, and I had already tried some at a room crawl the previous night, and it's fantastic!

It's called Castries Rum Creme out of St. Lucia.
If you see it (I think it's on its way to MA in the following months) try it out! (only 16% alc)

As soon as I can I'm going to serve it over that chocolate stuff that hardens once you pour it. Maybe even just buy those empty chocolate cups.
