Joe Bonamassa "Live" disc
I have been enjoying yet another disc by this guy with his off the hook riffage. I got into him when Tinsley Ellis mentioned him to me and he just gets better and better. He will be in Foxboro on October 25 at Showcase Live. He is so fluid in his phrasing and tone.

Yeah that disc is amazing, Plexi do you know if Joe was using one of your Carol Ann's for those recordings? If so, VERY well done my friend, thats as good as tone gets right there!

Yeah, so I didn't know who Joe was so I just YouTubed him. I watched a bunch of clips and he reminds me of CJ..WTG!
Or it could be the other way around, I dunno. Anyway WTG, I like that cat....

Carl, yes he is. I haven't got this one yet, but it will probably be in the credits on the sleeve. He has a total of four of my amps now and has another two on order.
We are doing a limited run of 10 signature amps. He will be using each one of them live for a week before they go to the owner. The new owner will also be invited to see him using their new amp.
Joe is a really nice guy and has become good friend.....and he can play the guitar pretty good to !!

THat should have read three, not four.....two 100W EL34's and a 120W 6L6 amp. He runs them all at 8 on the master volume in to partioned 4x12s (2x 2x12's) loaded with EVM-12Ls. He also uses a plexi glass screen in front of the cabs to attenuate the stage volume somewhat.
I played through his rig at a soundcheck and it sounds HUGE.

Yes I have met him before a show (changing his own guitar strings no less) and he was very nice, invited me to look at his rig and all that, man he plays (and sings) his arse off on the new live cd, congrats Plexi, I'm gonna have to start saving my pennies for one of these!!!

Carl, I have the actual JB-100 amp he used on the US recorded live tracks in my shop at the moment for an annual retube. You're very welcome to come over and check it out.
