Don't you blaspheme in here! Don't you blaspheme in here! This is my man, this is my restaurant, and you two are gonna turn around and walk right out of here - without your dry white toast, without your four fried chickens, and without Matt 'Guitar' Murphy!

I'm just frustraded as all hell about playing more pften... drums... singing.... anything...
8/29/2008 9:04:58 AM
You know what's funny Des?
The original Texas Vipers didn't have a drummer!
It was a recording project and we used a drum machine that resembled a Synsonics drum pad, only cheaper, remember those from the 80's? Eventually, we used the drum patches from my Korg M-1 keyboard. No sequencing, I triggered the drums from the keys and played the rythyms in real time.....I don't even think we used a click track.
You can already begin to see how amazing this sounded can't ya.....;)
TME (Tommy Emersnake) I believe was the only drummer to perform those tunes live. Sort of like The Doors not having a live bass player, but having one in the studio, only different, but the same but different.
Where were you when we needed you Kev?
8/29/2008 12:07:40 PM
And I still didn't know how to spell rhythm correctly then either......
8/29/2008 12:08:40 PM

JZ - we shant play anything from the glossed over second album...bring your keybass just in case.
8/29/2008 4:17:30 PM
Oh man, 2nd album was my pride and joy!
I always told you "Snake Waltz" was a hit.
Oh man, the Keybass! Sound City Keybass!
Had 19 keys, almost 2 octaves and sounded like a B-17 bomber. Bought it for $35.00 at that music store across from Harrington Liquors in Chelmsford Center....what was that store called?? Ahh, it's killing me now....right at the end of that looooong strip mall with a thousand little stores.
Ugh! I can't believe I forgot the name, someone help me!!!
Anyway, that keybass is long gone Tex.
