Well, it's not really random, you see, I'm allowed to take potshots at people because of my tremendous tact and diplomacy polus the fact that I'm in another time zone and for the esteemed members of this community to actually get to a gig that I have in Upton you would have to get a work visa

The Rose Garden?!? My buddy Matt Lindi books that place. Last I knew The Rose Garden was more of a venue for folk music than anything else.
Wtf is a band like Chyldz Play doing there? You guys are gonna blow the doors off of that place. Do they know what's in-store for them?

Just kidding........It's the Grateful Dead connection, that's what it is!! I was in a band with Matt for a couple of years. The Dead was one of Matt's specialties! I loved playing Dead tunes with Matt because he sounded so much like Jerry when he sang. I've got a recording of us doing U.S. Blues that I'll post sometime. I was all set for "Estimated Prophet" but the band split-up before we could get to it.

I didn't want to bump this thread but I wanted to have the opportunity to tell everyone how much I give of myself to everyone and they all benefit from my presence and it pains me to continue to work and work and slave and nobody appreciates it and I would never ask for any thanks or anything in return or even bring it to anyone's attention but I feel like I'm entitled because I'm so unwilling to take on an air of entitlement

I last saw Matt at a show where a girl I knew was doing a CD release party (at the RG) but she did a couple songs with Red Peters who was incidentally absolutely f*cking HILARIOUS and I hate parodies for the most part (weird Al and all that)
