Allman Brothers Sat Aug 16 @ Comcast
Anyone going to this show this weekend?
8/11/2008 9:02:59 AM
That's the day/night of Tbass's benefit.
8/12/2008 2:49:23 AM
CC I do vaguely remember something else being on that day. I got my tickets many moons ago. With all the talk about Yanni and Hornsby I was befuddled. I never got either artist. Wasn't Hornsby in the Stoves or Ranges or something like that?

That is interesting. I did see a greatest hits disc at Costco recently that was really chessy and really not up to par. Remind me to get that Hampton Beach show to you.
8/12/2008 9:04:56 AM
Maybe they like to play chess.
8/12/2008 9:06:31 AM
who likes to play chess? I don't get it?
8/12/2008 10:33:22 AM

Are there any Allmans left in the Allman Brother's Band?
Hell, a lot of people who were in that band seem to die. Duane, Berry and Allen Woody too. It's like fcking Spinal Tap.
8/12/2008 11:21:43 AM
THATS UNIGOAT
8/12/2008 11:21:50 AM
I get it now. isn't we all bruthas and sistas. Only one left in the Allman Brothers is Gregg but I see Devon his son able to pop in and play from time to time with them.

Who's playing guitar? Isn't Haynes still on tour with Gov't Mule?
8/13/2008 12:06:17 AM
Well, I'll tell you this much: Warren Haynes is alive and well and playing drums in "A Band Called Spike"!
8/13/2008 2:00:58 AM
Gee thanks Cat, I know I'm not the thinnest guy in the world, but I aint nowhere near as big as Warren (or as talented).
8/13/2008 8:39:07 AM
God is huge. Warren is off tour with the "Mule" and now with the brothers, as is Derek Trucks. A friend may 4 extra tickets if any one is intertested for Saturdays show right next to the sound board.
8/13/2008 9:05:13 AM
The Mule without Haynes? Don't seem right ...somehow......no how.....
8/13/2008 3:07:02 PM
Yes God.....but.....let's put it this way.....
If Haynes was in the film industry, you'd have a good chance at being hired as his double.
Same goes for Matt Fetters and Marlon Brando, when Brando was much younger of course (or alive for that matter).
8/13/2008 3:13:18 PM
Actually what Jim was trying to say is that Gov't Mule's tour has ended and Warren is now on tour with the Allman Brothers.
8/13/2008 4:09:29 PM
thank you for translating O great one.
8/13/2008 6:30:29 PM

Wish I could go but short on cash. However, if anyone bootlegs it I would pay for a copy. Whoever is going have some fun and drink one for me
8/14/2008 12:29:36 AM

8/14/2008 11:42:19 AM
gregg has been battling hepatitis c. that's a tuff one!
8/14/2008 11:44:44 AM
Hopefully he is back in action.
8/14/2008 3:49:37 PM
Hepatitis C? I heard something about that a while ago. Hep C is something that you can only control through diet, lifestyle and medication but that is not "curable". It tends to keep coming back and gets worse with every recurrence.
Beware of booze, drugs and unsafe sex!! People also got it from blood transfusions years ago before they refined the screening process used on donated blood. I know a guy that just died from it in Florida. He got it from a blood transfusion that he received in 1981.
I read that Steven Tyler of Aerosmith also has it.
8/14/2008 4:03:01 PM
Pamela Anderson as well.
8/14/2008 4:15:11 PM
Doesn't sound pretty. It will be good to see Gregg.
8/14/2008 5:00:01 PM
