"does Extreme have any other songs?"
I just pissed myself laughing.....no really. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
7/29/2008 3:50:36 AM
Do they have any other songs? lol - this band is so fucking good, just never got the credit they deserve. Here are some other kick ass tunes! Mutha (Don't Want to Go to School Today), Kid Ego, Wind Me Up, Decadence Dance, Get the Funk Out, Suzi (Wants Her All Day What?), Hip Today - the list could go on..
7/29/2008 6:43:40 AM
Bummed we're not going to this bc we'll be at Sheryl Crow the night b4. But Rob went on Sunday and we've seen them a couple of times in the past few years..... We'll have to catch it next time around!
7/29/2008 7:44:31 AM
uh
FYI, Sheryl Crow is gay
I'ma be third row for this motherf*cker
7/29/2008 8:19:53 AM
FYI - so are you.
7/29/2008 8:37:32 AM
and just an FYI anyone that saw the show on Sunday will not get that experience. This was a great evening, technical problems and everything. It was like the old days at the Channel! - you could not ask for more, very cool.
7/29/2008 9:07:00 AM
and like I said in the other post...Nuno is a bad motherfucker. He oozes with greatness on ANY instrument and vocals. I hate him. I really fucking hate him!
7/29/2008 9:40:36 AM
lol - yes he does. Very talented.
7/29/2008 12:14:16 PM
I saw these guys back in the 90's opening for Bon Jovi. They were good. They fit into the "Mr Big" category. Tons of chops but their biggest tune is a little 3 chord acoustic dittie. Prooves songwriting over playing every time.
7/30/2008 1:59:39 PM
F*ck all y'all motherf*ckers then
I'm glad you're not going because you f*cking suck
bump

7/30/2008 4:54:47 PM
NIce
I was actually hoping to hear Mutha (I know it's gay, but I've seen them three times and never seen it except the last time and they played this whacky klesmer version of it)
we'll see
I'm going with a guy who is a total Nuno psycho-
he's f*cking weird
7/31/2008 8:08:01 AM
thank goodness I'm still drunk from last night
7/31/2008 8:08:21 AM
Nuno is god...did I mention that before?
7/31/2008 8:34:00 AM
I'd like to hear that one too - seeing it's from the old "The Dream" days. I have seen these guys soooo many times. I used to work with Paul Geary's girlfriend at the time. We used to see them at the Channel many moons ago.
7/31/2008 8:44:58 AM
DJ where did they play last night?
7/31/2008 8:53:55 AM
They last played on Tuesday in NY
7/31/2008 9:27:30 AM
T minus motherf*ckers
7/31/2008 4:19:16 PM
King's X was "pretty good" but the mix never seemed to "gel" for me. Their playing was really good as usual, but I was getting irritated; first not enough vocals, then the harmonies weren't there, then the bass was too loud, then you couldn't hear Ty... this is 2008... why can't we get live mixes right...?
Then on-comes Extreme - their mix was MUCH better. Gary looked like he had been hanging around Dennis Rodman too long or sumethin'... comes out with these big-ass sunglasses and red-colored stubble for hair - not sure what THAT was all about.
Band was tight - Nuno shredded (of course) and dominated the mix (of course). Overall - a good night.
I will refrain from posting my negative comments as to how "comical" the rock-school openers were.
G'night all.
7/31/2008 10:43:19 PM
He usually wear those big shade to start off..... *shrugs* Glad it was awesome! I love them live and was sad I missed it! :)
8/1/2008 6:49:33 AM
Well - he looked foolish - but again, they sounded great. The new tunes were spot-on (albeit maybe 10-15 years too late). They got a great mix and put on a good show. Nuno. What else can I say? just: Nuno!
8/1/2008 9:19:57 AM
I liked the glasses- there was a band aid cross on one side-
the new drummer is good, not a real flashy guy-
Scott WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE GOING?!?!?!
we could have had a beer- what a nice night it turned out to be too- no hail and such
Extreme was a great show-
Whatever that rock school thing was, it was f*cking hilarious
8/1/2008 12:44:45 PM
and it was nice to meet DJ Drummer- although I introduced myself to the entire row behind me before I got the right guy!
8/1/2008 12:45:41 PM

Chip - it was a last-minute thing. Got a call around 4 or so from a bud who had an extra ticket for FREE... so I tagged-along.
I felt bad for King's X - their fan-base up here is generally small - they PACK the smaller venues when they play Axis, Avalon, Middle East, etc... but gather their fans in a large venue like the pavillion, and it looked pathetic.
Their mix was not so great... especially since Extreme's WAS so good. Anyhow... it was a surreal experience at the show because I had people approaching me from all-side that I hadn't seen in YEARS - some since High-school.
My friend who was watching from about 40-feet away says that this "crowd" started forming around me... everyone focussing on me... as if *I* were famous or something... all asking me questions and such... I couldn't believe all the (totally unrelated) people I kept running into. At one point, he swore there was going to be a line forming for autographs - it was surreal for sure.
I was going to say "I was the older fat guy with the black shirt and sportcoat" - then realized that the majority of what I saw there were older fat guys... so I must-have blended well. :)
8/1/2008 1:01:40 PM
