I was proud to be a part of this and wanted to share it with everyone here on lowell rocks. I am planning a benefit to help raise money for them to build an indoor arena the end of August. We need this to be able to provide therapy lessons in the winter. I will be looking for musicians that would like to donate their talents and time . This will be an outside afternoon gig. Please email me if your interested, southern rock/ rockabilly/ a little country;).
Please spread the word. This means alot to me cause it shows just how special horses are ! The segment will focus on the profound physical, emotional, and psychological effect that horses and equine-assisted therapy can have on students with disabilities and able bodied alike.

Pets & People: The Power of the Health Connection

It was a gorgeous day in May with volunteers and visitors looking on as an instructor explained our program and demonstrated therapeutic techniques to Jeff Corwin, of 'Animal Planet' fame. T.H.E. FARM will be featured as one of six segments in the premiere of 'The Power of the Health Connection'.
Our own students, Zack Sobolewski and Jessica Sutton interact with Jeff as he learns and reports on the significance of therapeutic riding.

My daughter volunteered at T.H.E. Farm. It is an incredible place. I enjoyed helping her feed the horses their Saturday supper. Unfortunately due to her schedule, she can now only fill in at T.H.E. Farm. We watched the show this morning and found it very impressive.
