Jimmy Z Trio
Well sort of.
This Friday July 18th I will be filling in at Sangria's in Lowell for the Mike Valeras Group (who's birthday is today, Happy Birthday Sucko!!!!)
I believe I will be joined by Ervin Dhimo on bass, and a drummer to be named later.
Eclectic, experimental, improvisational, yet accessible music from 6 - 9. It's a great location, a great venue, great acoustics, and a great staff. All we need now is all you great people!.

Second, have fun Friday guys-- Ive already used my sick call for the week so I am bummed that Ill miss Sangrias yet again! Someday I hope to convince my boss that I do have the need for a 2 hour dinner break on a Friday night--- heres hoping--- Hope you guys have a GREAT gig!!!!!

Ervin Dhimo is a MONSTER player, I got to see him with Mikey a few weeks back and Ervin even came to my gig at Linda's recently which was very cool yet very humbling b/c Gary Smekel was also in the room so I felt like a child playing with power toys.
No plans for Friday yet, this might be interesting...

The gig is only 6 - 9, which means you start out at Sangrias, then go see some good music for the rest of the night!

Thank you, thank you everyone! Go see Jimmy Z Trio Firday and support this type of music. Jim's badass as you all know but many of you have not heard him in this type of musical setting. Get ready!!
Then we'll both be back there on August 1st with the return of the full Mike Valeras Group. Can't wait.

6 - 9 on the main stage
Interesting, eclectic, exploratory, and at times eroti...I mean erratic.
Come listen to arrangements of Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, The Beatles, Joe Zawinul, Jim Zaroulis (the other JZ), and, whatever one of us, including YOU, is thinking at the moment.
There will be no talking, no requests, no sarcasm, no banter, and most importantly...no Keytar.
I'm very much looking forward to this.
