I am WAAAAAAAAAAAY up in Maine enjoying vacation with the family white water rafting and then a wedding/pig roast.... cell phones don't work...we are far, far away from work....

one of my favorite places!
make sure you go and trek to Moxie falls!
The disputed highest waterfall on the east coast.
also check out the brewbpub located right in the forks

we have been to moxie falls...it is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!!
this year, due to all the snow melt, the kennebec was running at over 5000cf and that isn't even a high water release!!!
the rapids were AMAZING!
we stayed at the northen outdoors which has their own brewery.. i am not a beer drinker but hubby and my son sampled ALL the beers, ales and the stout they had... their fav was the summer ale and the big mamma blueberry ale (believe it or not!! my bud drinkers!!)
we had 3 days of crystal clear blue skies, no humidity.. PERFECT weather.....

We're so glad for you guys! You deserve a nice vacation. Be sure to eat lobster or whatever your heart desires. We really can't travel anymore (oxygen, too much uphill walking, too far from hospitals, etc.) but Diane and I love to hear about cool places like that. We used to really like scenic places.
Be sure to take LOTS of photos!

I go there every year Dot! We stay with Magic Falls though. We like them.

and if you happened to get the nashua telegraph on sunday july 6, in section D on the last page, there was a a big article about whitewater rafting and the picture they used was from ProRiver Runners! and the article mentions moxie rafting!
