Some Local Bands Should Start Alumni Associations...
What's the deal with a few local bands that have had half of Lowell Rocks as members?
I'm thinking about starting alumni associations. Have meetings, pay dues, drink beer...

Keeping a band together with all the original members is not an easy thing to do. Especially in that the average shelf life of most bands rarely exceeds three years.

I like the drink beer part count me in. On a serious note I've been thinking about having a "State of the music business" conference and getting all local musicians who do what we do for a living, for alternative income or just for fun to have a pow wow. I think we could all learn alot from each other regarding what the state of the industry is locally. There could be lead exchange, networking and idea sharing. Anyone who would be serious about something like this give a "yay" and if we get enough interest we will put something together. We can have Lowell Rocks sponsor it and they can supply punch and pie.

I can see it now: something like that courtroom scene in the Stooges episode, "Idiots Deluxe". My noives! My noives!! When Moe asks the judge if he could have the axe back (exhibit A) and then goes after Larry and Curly with it.
