6/27/2008 8:34:58 AM
We had a blast last night, place was hoppin' for a Thursday.
OLi...great job behind the bar, there was never a time when there was a fresh beer in front of me...it was like magic!
Gettin' to sing and play a few tunes from the King was fun too...Linda's is a great place to start the weekend for sure.
6/27/2008 9:14:02 AM
never a time when there WASN'T a fresh beer in front of me...bad grammar but you know what I mean!
6/27/2008 9:14:40 AM
"Never a time of more woe, than this of Judy and her Romeo"
Makes no sense, but the "Never a time.." made me remember my Shakespeah!
I gotta check Those 3 Guys out sometime, sounds like a fun night.
Swanee sang Elvis? Even more incentive.
6/27/2008 9:58:29 AM
Yeah Jim, Those 3 Guys rip! Did two Elvis songs, it's the anniversary of my brother's death and he turned me on to Elvis many years ago...
Hey, we'll be back in rotation on Tuesday's soon, Judy just moved into her place in Hudson so things have been hectic.
6/27/2008 10:02:46 AM
Cool man! We miss yous guys.
Was Crazy Cat on bass or was it Brian McKinnon?
6/27/2008 10:30:50 AM
Brian, good guy...great player! I was kinda hoping Paul was going to be there but alas...
6/27/2008 10:32:35 AM
Brian is solid as a rock. I keep trying to get down there and see him. We played together 100 years ago with a band called Lazy Galoot and the Rhythm and Booze Review, which turned into Michigan Blacksnake which is probably the hippest band in Boston right now.
6/27/2008 10:57:37 AM
Yeah sure, the ONE time I get a Thursday night and JZ says he will come SOON or next time-WHATEV!!!!!
Swanee was fabulous being the King!! And Swanee, I love tendin the bah, I aim to please, glad you noticed!!
xoxo

6/27/2008 1:40:57 PM
Ok, how about this....
I won't go on a Thursday until you're there again.
Cool?
6/27/2008 1:43:02 PM
Or until you get some REAL Vodka in there.........;)
6/27/2008 1:43:36 PM
As usual I had a blast. NIce to finally meet 'ya, OLi!
6/27/2008 2:14:09 PM
Nice to meet you as well Kevin- nice job by the way- you ripped it up!!!
JZ-the first will happen before the second so i'll let ya know!!!
6/27/2008 2:19:46 PM
I'll be there next Thursday with my girlfriend Jody who will be sitting in on vocals. She's here for a couple of weeks on vaykay!
Jody is a minister of music at a big church in Florida—choir director and church organist. She also recently hooked-up with a jazz band down there; a group of seasoned pros living in Florida that have a regular house gig and play jazz festivals and concerts around the state.
She's a decent piano player as well!
Whether I'm doing the bass or Brian for the gig, I'll be there with Jody to sit-in and jam.......
Next Thursday should be a lot of fun.
6/27/2008 2:46:40 PM
Next Thrusday is a banner night for going out- it's the eve before a long weekend- I would expect a good turnout
6/27/2008 3:18:42 PM
Imagine you and Milhouse making an appearance? We could jam on Black Cows and Zeppelin......Swanee would jam with you as well.....
If JZ makes an appearance we do stuff like Moondance with Jody on vocals.....
and the Six Wives Of Henry the 8th (I am) "Second verse same as the first........."
6/27/2008 3:31:16 PM
I would seriously love to do that some night-
I'm just at the bottom of MA- like five minutes from Rhode Island so your assessment of 30.00 in gas is pretty close-
I have a gig in Worcester on a bill with a Flock of Assholes Thrusday night anyways, but Crazy we shall jam at some point
6/27/2008 3:40:46 PM
Cool Chippa!!
You mean "Schlock of Seagulls" the 80s' band?
6/27/2008 4:03:05 PM
That's what I'm here for Crazy Cat, to accompany people on "Moondance"................
I'll be gigging that night as well, but tell her it's in Am.
6/27/2008 4:15:01 PM
No it's "Flock of Assholes" they're an 80s pop tribute I've heard great things about them...
we're doing the 80s hair metal tribute (cut the Huey Lewis and such out of our set list- kept the REO Speedwagon tho) we are renting a bus to bring all our homies from our home to the show- should be pretty cool pulling up to the Lucky Dog with all our equipment and about 40 or so people!
6/27/2008 4:17:13 PM
Paul, Jody is such a sweet lady and a great singer Please tell her Jamie says hello.....thanx :)
6/27/2008 6:38:22 PM
Quiet......open mike still on tonight?
7/3/2008 6:56:18 PM
...he said, knowing that it's on tonight's calendar.
7/3/2008 7:00:15 PM
A lot of great musicians in the house last night...
Those Three Guys are always entertaining with their seemingly endless repertoire.
Pete... Is there any song you don't know?
Paul... Thanks for loaning me your axe.
Kevin... It was very cool to finally sit in with you.
Great line up of female vocalists, starting with Jody and continuing all night with others whose names I didn't catch. Kudos to all.
