As long as I don't miss re-runs of House...
6/11/2008 7:26:03 AM
Don't forget the time has been bumped up to 8pm.
But feel free to come early if you want some dinner or something. You can watch the setup process. It's pretty cool with all the latest technology brought to you by "Shooting Stars"
Video / Audio production.
6/12/2008 8:43:09 AM
I'll be there "B")
6/12/2008 8:45:16 AM
Hey Guys,
There will be a keyboard available. Normally I only bring one if Trish is coming but she may not be coming to this one. But there is a keyboard player coming to perform and he did request a keyboard so I will have a keyboard setup for anyone that wants to do their song on that.
Finish up those songs.
You'll be glad you did.

Glad to see you back writing Shine. I think I have one of you old CD's. I'll have to dig it out as I remember it was quite good.
6/14/2008 6:49:56 AM
Is there a cover charge?
6/14/2008 5:11:12 PM
As a matter of fact, come to think of it....Yes there is a cover charge........However it only applies to when I go on and ends when I go off.....
lol.....I kill me
One puts the pennies in the guitar case....lol

6/15/2008 9:12:53 AM
So it's like 'free' entertainment.
Cool. Such a Deal!
How can anyone go wrong. Maybe then everyone who reads this will have no excuse not to come and check out the fine talent we have here at LR.
:)

Like You MykBro,
Write a song. You play excellent guitar.
Classically the best I know of. :-)
6/15/2008 11:17:53 AM
OK OK OK so there's no cover...But don't let that stop you from the urge to throw some change in the guitar case over by the side. I play for drink also...lol
JK no I'm not....
Yes I am.. (shaking head left to right )
6/15/2008 3:18:29 PM
I have the song-writing skills of a mildly challenged ape. I am envious of anyone capable of writing a song in the capacity of "Three Blind Mice" or better.
Now... if you were promoting a THONG-pull... I'd pay a $15 cover to partake in THAT...!
These "pulls" sound like very positive, collaborative & creative evenings. Glad to hear they do so well. If I were to show up, it would just be another reason for me to go home and open a vein in the tub. :)
Keep it up...!
6/15/2008 3:27:40 PM
Crap - meant to post that as "me"... not ACME.
6/15/2008 3:29:07 PM
ACME / ThatGuy
Songpulls are not dedicated to only talented songwriters with a proven track record. They are for anyone who shares a passion for the art of creating music. Some only have one or two songs in them while others have 6 or more. Some just never stop writing. Either way it documents something personal about what you are passionate about. Or perhaps just a time in your life that is unforgetable and heart felt.
What surprises me the most to be honest at these songpulls is how the newest songwriters have no bounderies set before them and come up with amazing jumps in creativity. The seasoned writers for the most part are quite a bit more critical and focussed on their finished product and seem to struggle much harder for it.
It's a gradual scale where you don't come here to compete with anyone other than yourself. And nobody takes any score. It's just you being you. Simple as that. If you have any desire to write something you owe it to yourself to indulge in it.

Dawn

Thank You Dawn. Yea that was weird about my wife.
Swanee is also one of those people from her and Pete's past from her skating days.
It's really starting to shape up down there at the Backstage Grille. I love it when your regular coverband clientele come out to explore their creative original side.
See you soon.

Another wonderful experience - can't wait for the videos! I want to hear that song by that guy from Manchester again! I forget his name and the name of the song but that's just cause I was drinking LOL jk
Dawn it was so cool to just hang out with you! You're a class act and I hope the Backstage continues on the road you're working so hard to pave.
Kevin is a riot too - nice peeps I tell ya!
Juice and Myke thank you again for all your efforts!
If anyone ever wants to co-write - I'm in!
Peace,
Ulli
6/17/2008 8:26:56 AM
oh yeah and I meant to say that guy who sang the second song with Eric - I think they said his name was Joe Casanova - they should call their act - "McLovin" LOL
He was hysterical lol
6/17/2008 8:27:39 AM
Rick Burke from Manchester if it's the guy with the 12 string guitar. "Lord You Know" was the name of the song.
6/17/2008 8:56:06 AM
