Last Laugh last night
Went out to see AMT, but kept popping in to check you guys out. Sounded great! :)
Wanted to say hi but never caught yah on a break!

I got to check out a couple of tunes during our break. They sounded fantastic. Big sound. So glad we don't play that side of the club. Too big of a sound for us. :-)

BTW... Which member of Last Laugh posts here...? Before the gig, I met the drummer & guitarist during load-in... then later that night, we met the bass player.
I am absolutely HORRIBLE with names, all three GAVE their names and I guarantee I forgot them within minutes. It's a curse.
Anyhow, it was great meeting y'all...

TY Erin. I drove to Deb's after the show and saw Rob and he said you were there. I responded "so she's the one". Was a slow night.
That Guy...Devin is the guy posting here under Last Laugh. I'm the lead singer. I think you met everyone but me. Ian, Mike and John. My bass player was raving about yours. Unfortunately I was incapacitated for our only set break (band stuff) so I never got to get over and check you guys out. That big sound you speak of if the house PA. It's one of the better ones around and Brian Petrocia does a great job running it so the kudos goes to him. Thx for the compliment and I'm sure we'll cross paths again and actually meet up.

Well - you guys sounded great.
Yeah - I know it's "house-sound" and they may be good at it, but no P.A. on this planet can fix inherent "suck". :-) So it was the music that sounded good - not the PA.
But that system (or engineering) would make us sound "huge" which is what we're not. It never sounds right when we get the big, boomy, in-your-face kick drum sound... big, fat reverb'ed snare, etc. It doesn't work as well when your whole "gig" is being a dynamic acoustic trio. :)

I hear you on the dynamics thing. It's tough enough getting a good sound in any setting. TY for the compliment.
