*!* CANCELLED *!* - ACME Music Trio NOT playing tonight
I just got the word that our singer/guitarist is very sick and will not be able to do tonight's gig. So, we are 99% sure that we're canceling. I am just waiting to hear-back for 100% confirmation.
Not sure who's gonna sub for us - someone else is taking care of that. Oh well. Kinda bummed.

It takes time for me to adjust to a cancellation. I have *NEVER* cancelled a gig myself. I have played through some heinous illnesses, personal family tragedies, you name it. I know that's no big feat... and LOTS of musicians can make the same claims... but it just takes me a few to get-past the paranoia of the effect a cancellation has on your band's reputation with either agents, managers or owners.
The moment you begin showing-up on their radar as a "problem" act that needs to be accommodated, it's tough to shake that stigma.
Anyhow... what's done is done.
