ArteK and Beef tonight in Groton!!!
I'm sharing the stage tonight with Mr. James LeBoeuf Esc. for an ArteK and Friends show at the Stagecoach Inn in Groton Center.
We're joined by Steve Esposito on keyboards and a pair of local Groton musicians: Steve Preston on drums and Dan Fassett on fiddle and harmonica.
Last time we were there it was a wild night and everyone went home happy, so I'm expecting to catch lightening in a bottle again tonight.
Just take Route 40 out of North Chelmsford Center, and follow it all the way to the end (Route 119). Take a right and then pull into the first driveway on the right. We play in the front room with all the windows. 8-11PM, $5 cover.

Is that anywhere near Avon?

WOW Top billing!

Even on their Website, Jim.
My agent told me you had threatened to pull out of the next gig, if I didn't give you full billing. Next time, it's your name first, right?! ;-)
Unfortunately, their cheesy sign out front says "ArteK Band". They musta run out of letters or space or they just couldn't figure out how to spell "LeBoeuf". Or you could go all conspiracy theory on my @$$ and figger it's just my plot to hog all the glory of playing in a 20-person room in Groton.

are you going to be laying down some smoking hot blues????
hmmmmmmmmmm...

Yes, Dot. That is the plan. Worked out perty well last time Jim and I played together there.
When everyone in the band is looking around at each other at the end of the night saying "We're gonna do this again, right?", then you know you're doing something right.
I'm looking forward to it.

I wish, Dot...I have some kind of funky ailment and I am laying low. I usually never miss anything remotely Red Devil Lye-related, so this is a bummer for sure.
But by all means, I hope you and your husband go, and fill me in on how fabulous it goes! It's a very nice room to sit and relax while listening to some top notch tunes!

barbie, ow right you are!!
we took our boys out to dinner first...good food and they left around 7:45pm...hubby & i stayed or some smokin hot blues!!
surprising to me, (considering it IS an old colonial inn) the room has a great vibe for blues music. small tables, candle lit, intimate..even a ceiling fan!! beef and artek were lying down some great blues vocals...
hope you are feeling better barbie! i am coming to see you wednesday!

Thanks for coming out, Dot. It really is a nice little room to play.
And this is such a fun, thrown-together band, mixing Jim and me, Steve on keys, and the other local Groton guys. We had John Abrahamson sit in on trumpet for the later sets and he was amazing.
