Messin' With The Kid
This one is especially for Carl.
A rip-roaring, hyped-up version of Messin w/The Kid from at least ten years ago. Arte Cranshaw on drums and vocals. Kent Pearson on guitar.
If Jaco Pastorius and Weather Report were to have covered this tune, it might have sounded something like this. I like toward the end of the tune we push the envelope even harder when he leans into the double kick pedals.
In the guitar depatment, Kent employs the Roger Mayer "Octavia" (used by Hendrix) on the second solo.
The recorder mic had fallen away from the p.a. speaker so the vocal didn't come through loud enough but you can still hear it. It was a lose performance but fun.

We should set-up a time when you stop by one of our gigs and sit-in, providing that you're not gigging on that night....
By the way, what is your email?
