songpull.com/pull/watch?group...Also one of our Songpullers Dan Corley made it to the NY finals for that "Jingles" show. He'll know this week if he is going to LA for the final cut to see who will be on the show. Either way his footage may very well make it to show anyways.

June 16th at the Backstage Grille.
Don't sweat it Kennium. That is really a good song. To be honest hardly anybody gets through a brand new song without something they didn't do or ment to change. If you watch any of my outtakes where the performer is interviewed after they perform just about every single one will metioned they didn't do it as planned.
It's all good coming from the perspective there is no warming up, first take is the keeper, and depending on when you wrote the song there really isn't anytime to rehearse and perfect it for perfromance level.
Try to focus more writing new songs.
Then when you're ready you can head on out to Jen Kerney's at Sangria's and be a feature artist. :-)

Oh, don't worry. I have a new one already.
That's one of the best things about this, and I have you to thank Bruce... it makes me wanna do better than I did.
It's like I'm in competition with myself, a nice kind of competition.
This new song I'm working on would not have existed if I didn't go to hat songpull.
So THANKS.
and NOPE, I don't really want to be a featured anything, all I want to do is challenge myself to make up better songs.
I've come to the point where I don't like playing in bars, so one or 2 songs is fine with me.
I like what you guys are doing.

That's exactly what's it's all about Kennium.
And the reason why this atmoshpere is so supportive to one another is because we don't try to compete with each other. Just ourselves.
There is nothing to win just personal gradification. If the video performance leads anywhere it's an added bonus.
For me personally, I litterally get high off of the enthusiasm from all these songwriters. When they talk to me about their latest song they wrote it's like they just got a new toy from Christmas and can't wait to show us how much fun they have playing with it.

Juice, finally checked out the songpull site with some time on my hands (I did a couple qick checks before) it's all very cool. Can you tell me what *30 Day* designates? I have a song I'd like to try out there, maybe one of the next ones if I can make the time

Hi Don,
There are basically 3 types of songs on Songpull.
An old original song that you wrote from whenever.
A "30 day" song is a song that was writen and performed for the first time in front of an audience.
And then there is an "Encore" which you've previously performed at a Songpull. And Encore is done for few reasons. Either you haven't written anything new and want to do a better perfromance of it. Or you improved a song since you first wrote it or perfromed it at a previous Songpull.
Or in my case I usually will do an Encore when I host in MA because I also perform in NH and that is where I normally introduce my new songs.

"A "30 day" song is a song that was writen and performed for the first time in front of an audience".
I meant to include to this that it should say within the last 30 days.
It's pretty much all about pulling out songs and having a reason to do so other than waiting for inspiration to come knocking.

The big question on my mind is this...
Will swanee come to the next songpull with a song for Tricia??
Seems only fair.

I know three chords Mikey B. and everything I write sounds like "Knockin on Heavin's door".
..but don't think I haven't given it consideration.
