I know your troubles.
From my early teens to late-twenties, I had SEVERE pollen allergies. I had two allergist doctors, got shots weekly, was on prednazone and other prescription drugs...

It was "literally" debilitating to go through... eyes would swell (& crust) shut, sinuses swollen closed, non-stop sneeze fits, rashes, you name it. I used to have to take time off of work.

From what I've read, it's cyclical... every 7-9 years, our bodies change... My allergies just "disappeared" in my mid-30s. I have heard the opposite; people who NEVER had allergies developing them in their 30's.

I *JUST* found out a year ago that I (somehow) developed a "Raw Carrot" allergy. Found-out the hard way, eating a raw carrot at Jillian's in Boston. Felt funny, then throat felt raw, then it started closing. I had to ask people around for any anti-hystemine(sp?). The only reason I knew to do THAT was we have friends with food allergies. I have never had them before.

NOW - I cannot eat raw or under-cooked carrots or celery. Peanuts are also giving me issues now.

Allergies are so bizarre.
