Led Zeppelin Medley
Here's a decent Zeppelin Medley recorded at the same Hyne's Tavern gig in 2003 that "Barchetta" came from. This was a huge file. I had to edit out 2 songs and resample it at a lower bitrate to get it under 5 meg.
It could have been recorded better. Some recordings go to tape better than others. I believe that this has to do as much with the magnetic emulsions on the tape that vary from production run to production run as with peripheral equipment such as microphones, recorder quality and microphone placement. Of course, these days, magnetic tape is slowly becoming a thing of the past.
The bass is a bit heavy especially on the opening tune. The second tune though is worth the price of admission!
And by the way, I'll be doing the gig with T3G tomorrow night at Linda's! So c'mon out and jam!!

Uh, Paul, you might want to check the speed on that one. It sounds to me at least like your 45 is playing at 78.
Maybe it's just my antique computer acting up...

It is pretty funny this way though -- kinda like Alvin & the Chipmunks snort crystal and then play Led Zep...
It sounds like it's really killer! I can't wait to hear it normal speed.

Maybe it's the sampling rate? I tried other mp3's on the site and they play fine. Your other one plays fast too.

The bit rate is 40kps on that one but they all vary due to the length of the song.
Was it "Changes" that you had the same problem with?

No, that one played (and sounded) fine, but the most recent one and the "Anthem (Metal Bass Solo)" both are too fast. Must be something you're doing differently than you used to.

Wayne, I found it! It was an email that a friend had sent to me after he tried to listen to Red Barchetta, the previous post. Here's what he said:
"Something weird happening there. I get something sounding like Alvin & the
Chipmunks play Rush. Other tunes on LowellRocks play just fine, so I have to
think that there's something w0nkled with your upload.
It worked for everyone else though......weird!

It plays fine on my computer. So do your other posts. Weird, indeed. Regarding this medley ... truly fine musicianship! One of the best I've ever heard by any local/cover band. Rockin!!
