Spicket River Bluegrass
Spicket River Bluegrass delivers high-energy acoustic music with traditional string band and bluegrass influences. Specializing in trio vocals, blazing instrumentals, and an always eclectic set list, SRBG's aim is to entertain.
Led by founding members Dan Bloom and Mark Liuzzo, the group first came together to perform at a fundraiser for Pete Seeger's Hudson Sloop Clearwater (www.clearwater.org). Since then, Spicket River Bluegrass has appeared at a number of venues and festivals across the region, and has shared billing with such artists as the Boogaloo Swamis and Livingston Taylor.
The band is named after the Spicket River, which rises in southern New Hampshire and flows through northern Massachusetts. This storied stream weaves it way through the Merrimack Valley, connecting the communities where each of the band members live.
