Jaded Ground

Something different and yet sounding familiar. MindShot! A new, but experienced local "Hard Rock/Metal" band out of North Central Ma. Starting with the multi-talented singer/guitarist/keyboardist and occasional drummer Kris Spofford. He brings to the stage his influences of Queensryche, Dokken and all hair bands of that era. His powerful vocals and lyrics are a lot different than what you would expect to hear in the local New England "metal" scene. You just have to experience it to know what I mean. He shares guitar solo's and vocals with guitarist Corey Martin. Corey's influences include Pantera and Slayer among others. With hard hitting rhythms and ripping solos he wows the audience. Rhythm guitarist Jon Dean adds the background necessary for a good, tight sound structure. Watching Jon and Corey play together is like watching one guitarist playing in front of a mirror. The backbone to the rhythm section are Joey King, Drums and Wayne Johnston, Bass. Both have received high praise playing in their previous band Road To Nowhere. Joey brings to the band his vast experience playing with bands like Sudden Impact and Nefarion. The highest energy playing you will probably ever see with the bonus of tempering it with melodic undertones that only add to the songs. Wayne on the other hand is the proverbial "monkey wrench". He adds the bass lines flowing with the drums, guitars and vocals all at once. Influenced by the roots of "metal" (I.E. Deep Purple, Sabbath, Judas Priest, Montrose, early Maiden and Ted Nugent), He adds a tone to the background that sometimes sounds hidden but can be "in your face" at the same time. You HAVE to check out this new and up-in-coming local talen

Good stuff guys. Betrayed: More build up on vocals in the chorus would fell better.
