GigoloSouls
“You are not musicians—you are entertainers!”
--Carl Ayotte, Lowell music legend, describing Gigolo Souls to themselves.
Rob and Randy Breton have been constants in the Greater Lowell/Southern NH music scene for the last DECADE, beginning with the formation of The Jass Brothers acoustic duo in 1996. A year later they added lead guitarist Ken Lemire (former Airport and future Take Two), and the trio really took off. They played virtually nonstop for 5 years, packing them in at places like The Dubliner, Martha’s Exchange, The Brewery, as well as a 2 year run as the Thursday night house band at the late, lamented Old Oaken Bucket. They became well known for being “a band…a party…an experience!” Everyone that went to their shows left completely entertained by their musicianship and their “We don’t take ourselves too seriously” attitude.
When they decided to disband The Jass Brothers officially in December of 2001, Ken began and continues a successful run as half of the legendary Take Two. Rob and Randy took some time off, created a CD of original material, and continued to play in the Lowell area as a duo, calling themselves Gigolo Souls. Continuing the legacy they started with The Jass Brothers, they infused cover songs with some of their catchy originals, and continue to have great success in the Lowell/Southern NH area. They also came up with the concept for a web site that would promote local bands and the venues that featured them-- www.LowellRocks.com. While they continue to work on writing new material, Gigolo Souls continue to entertain fans both new and old. NEW DATES WILL BE ADDED SOON!
