Congo Monster Band
Congo Monster Band is the latest project from longtime collaborators Justin Pilat (Guitar) and Keith Valcourt (Bass.); friends who have spent the past fifteen years playing music together, most notably as members of the highly successful jam band Distant Relatives. Looking to build on the experience gained in recent projects such as Serious Face and Sun King, a popular cover band based out of Cape Cod, they have formed Congo Monster Band, a professional Rock n’ Roll/Pop cover band. Already adept in the art of live performance, they have recruited two well-respected local musicians; Serious Face drummer Aaron Pearsall, a Drummer/Percussionist and Educator in the greater Lowell area, and Lee Sullivan, a self taught keyboardist/singer/songwriter and member of the rock band Electric Donkey.
Congo Monster Band performs music of all genres and can be found covering a diverse range of material from The Police to Michael Jackson to Kings of Leon and The Strokes. The band uses their myriad influences and diverse musical background to present well known and loved cover songs with a unique energy and passion.
