Burned In Effigy
Burned in Effigy spawned out of a basement in Andover, Ma in the summer of 2005. The goal was simple: To create hard rock without being distracted by cliché rock n’ roll attitude and fashion. Influences are taken anywhere from Led Zeppelin to Fugazi to The Pixies. Clubs such as the Middle East in Cambridge, Ma, Drifter's in Nashua, Nh and radio stations such as 91.5 WUML (Umass, Lowell's station) have featured Burned in Effigy. To compensate for a lack of any flashy clothes, outlandish hair styles, or lame gimmicks, Burned In Effigy brings a current of energy to the stage that many bands are lacking these days. But biographies only go so far. The real story is within the music, so listen to it and enjoy it...or hate it...whichever makes you feel better.
