one step further
One Step Further is a fresh sound that is developing out of the greater Boston area. Their music is a unique blend of genres, influenced from their love of bands such as Dave Matthews Band, Bob Dylan, Modest Mouse, The Grateful Dead and Jack Johnson. One Step Further has been making music as a band since 2003. Writing and recording mostly original tunes is something that has come very natural since the beginning. Playing the local music scene at places like The Grog in Newburyport, MA, The Barking Dog in Amesbury, MA and Tequilas Bar and Grill in Danvers, MA has helped One Step Further generate the intimate vibe their music creates. One Step Further has also played shows such as a performance on Adelphia Networks cable TV, The Strawberry Festival in Danvers, MA and The Yankee Homecoming Festival in Newburyport, MA. In 2005 One Step Further released a live in the studio album labeled “Live at Wellspring”. The album was recorded using an electric guitar, acoustic guitar and a Djembe. Shortly after, One Step Further got the opportunity to welcome Joe Cardoza as bass guitar player. This gave them the ability to take on a full band project. The album “Principles of Litter” is their first album with Joe and was released in March 2006.
